You know the best thing about these two outfits? Both sweaters and both skirts were bought at different thrift stores…each during separate shopping trips…across three different states.

And with this hat, the cobbler’s child has shoes ;)
I think, just overnight, she grew. There’s more of a little girl in that face than ever before.
PAJAMAS: Hanna Andersson | HAT: My own creation, but it was all Aveline’s idea to wear it
You can find me on the Babiekins blog today, talking about Hanbi from down under. How cute is Melina’s little pose?
P.S. Did you miss Henri’s Walk to Paris and β Kik-kid?
I was very excited when Marie-Laure Renier of Le Carrousel emailed me this week with a preview of her Fall/Winter children’s collection. She designs each of the classically French garments to give the impression that “the glamour and perfume of Paris raise from each piece”, and I think she achieves that very well. TrΓ¨s Γ©lΓ©gant!Β
Oh, and don’t miss this charming little video. The music is beautiful — Aveline started dancing around the living room when I played it.

The handmade collection, which includes clothing for boys, girls, and babies as well as accessories, will be available in the Le Carrousel shop soon. Thank you so much for sharing, Ml. Renier! Now I want those stripey socks and shoes in my size. ;)
Which is your favorite piece in this collection?

I’ve decided to change things up a bit when it comes to the products in my shop. The (exciting!) vision I have for the new look was reaffirmed by this discussion last Friday. So, I’ll be slowly listing the rest of what’s now the old style at discounted prices until they’re gone. (I’m not phasing out the owls…no way! But youΒ willΒ see a shift toward lighter, more monochromatic color choices.)
(WHOA. The “older style” hat in the photo above? It soldΒ while I was typing this.Β I’m constantly humbled by the overwhelming support you all show my little endeavors!)
This made me laugh this morning. I was reading the most recent email from H&M, and clicked on the $14.95 Shades of Fall blazer. Lo and behold, on the website it automagically becomes $19.95.
That’s some fast-moving inflation!

Good morning, lovelies! This week’s children’s fashion feature is vintage-inspired. Click on over to the Babiekins Magazine blog to see how to dress your kids like Dick and Jane!
