Owl Hats as seen on Oaxacaborn dot com I’ve decided to change things up a bit when it comes to the products in my shop. The (exciting!) vision I have for the new look was reaffirmed by this discussion last Friday. So, I’ll be slowly listing the rest of what’s now the old style at discounted prices until they’re gone. (I’m not phasing out the owls…no way! But you will see a shift toward lighter, more monochromatic color choices.)

(WHOA. The “older style” hat in the photo above? It sold while I was typing this. I’m constantly humbled by the overwhelming support you all show my little endeavors!)

Launch of Oaxacaborn Etsy Shop – Whimsical Creature-Adorned Hats and Boho Headbands

I launched my new Etsy store this morning! I’m super excited to offer headbands and hats — and yup, there’s even something for the boys. I’ll be listing more boy’s owl hats soon in addition to what’s currently in the shop.

newborn baby onesie: embroidered owl applique from upcycled tshirt fabric

Squee! Just finished making this little owl applique for a newborn onesie. I had an old green t-shirt that was destined to become a rag, so I used a piece of that fabric for the owl’s body. I used standard thread for the embroidery. It’s not perfect, but then again, baby will only wear this for the blink of an eye before she outgrows it.
