I’ve expanded a bit beyond owl hats this time around (although there are still plenty of those). Now introducing dolls, quirky creatures, and hats with Japanese Kokeshi-inspired faces!

Enter to win an owl headband at Ma Nouvelle Mode! It’s one of my original designs, and I’ve hand embroidered it with vintage cotton thread. Since it’s entirely felt-backed, the owl slides easily along the elastic headband. Comfortably fits both adults and kids!
P.S. Don’t want to wait to see if you won? The owl headband is available for purchase in my shop ;)
This latest round of hats is all about bright colors, perfect for brightening up the October gloom.
And see those gray and pink stripes? I’m in the middle of experimenting with something I haven’t put in the shop before…a gnome-style wee willie winkie cap! It will, of course, have an owl. :-)
Oooh, it is so fun to see photos of people wearing items you’ve made! You creative people know what I mean. :-)
This particular hat was a custom order for a yellow-striped hat incorporating both an owl and an anchor. Of course, I couldn’t help but dub him “The Seafaring Owl”.
And isn’t Kalie beautiful? She took these photos as a part of a 365 Photo Challenge.
